The first Texas AAUW branch was formed in Dallas–in 1908. AAUW TX has historically supported those legislative issues which critically impact the women and children of the state. Southeast Harris County Branch is one of 33 branches around the state. The Branch was formed in 1981. There are 749 branches around the country.
